Such a cute idea!

I LOVE this! The artist drew the frames on her wall with a sharpie and filled some in with her kid's art. So cute!

Charley Harper

Charley Harper is one of my favorite artists, so of course I'm thrilled that Clementine is offering a summer camp with a Charley Harper theme!

Charley Harper’s Natural World

Monday, June 13 – Friday, June 17 | 1-4 pm | ages 4-9 | $235
Explore the natural world of Charley Harper.  Create paintings, prints, collages and mobiles inspired by Harper’s vibrant and exciting work!

I've gotten a lot of questions about who Charley Harper is. Mr. Harper was an American artist and illustrator who lived from 1922 until 2007. Over his prolific career he created magazine covers and illustrations, murals, paintings, and silkscreen prints. He was very inspired by nature and biology and developed his own minimal style to represent the many animals and insects he created.

These are just a few artworks by Charley Harper-  Enjoy!

Parties at Clementine: Q&A

a
Pierre Auguste Renoir, Luncheon of the Boating Party, 1880-81
Lately we've been having a lot of parties at Clementine, and I have to say, we've got the system down! Up to 25 guests can attend, everybody is entertained with creative projects and those projects become the party favors. In addition to that, the host doesn't have to worry about cleaning up!

Here are some questions that are frequently asked:

Do you ever have adult parties?
Yes! We can help you come up with a suitable theme along with projects for your group. Clementine recently hosted a bridal shower in which the guests helped create a photo album/scrapbook for the bride-to-be. We would love to help you come up with a creative solution for celebrating all of life's special moments!

Can we do a project not listed in your choices?
(Project choices are on our website at www.openartsclementine.org)
Yes! With enough notice we can customize a project just for you and your interests.

What do the adults do during children's parties?
Often I've found that parents like to stay and mingle. Clementine Studio has plenty of space and an outdoor area as well! If the children are older and the parents are comfortable with leaving, we have a sign-in sheet by our door (so that we have emergency contact numbers on hand).

What comes with the typical party package?
Clementine Studio provides a main project, several side projects, all of the materials needed for those projects, and enough staff to facilitate your group. Parties typically last 1.5 hours, but that can occasionally be negotiated. Some optional 'extras' are: face painting, invitations, and cake (vegan and gluten-free options available!).

What should I bring to the party?
Any food or snacks that you would like to provide, utensils and dishes for serving food, additional decorations (the space is already very light and festive but if you'd like to bring balloons, banners, tablecloths, or whatever you're welcome to!), and of course, your camera!

If you would like any information on hosting a party at Clementine, or to make a party reservation, call us at 303-443-2520.

Spring Break at Clementine

We had a great time at our Make Way for Ducklings camp! The kids created nests, Mr and Mrs Mallard, ducklings, eggs, and watercolor scenes.  I think the pictures say everything- how fun it was, how proud everyone was of their creations, and the sheer cuteness of the projects!
